THE TRIP
From now when I’m writing this, it has been 4 months and 10 days since we left home. I am feeling really home sick. I miss Frankie and my back yard. If I could go back and take 5 more things I would take the dishwasher, the Wi-Fi box, Frankie, The TV (Because it doesn’t take a literal 10 minutes to turn on. We actually timed it) and the trampoline.

On the bright side Dad took me to see Avengers: Endgame. I am a big fan of the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) and now if anyone annoys me I can spoil the movie. I can do it right now if I wanted to. Just kidding I won’t. (Or will I?) I warn you now do not cross me. Anyway, it was a great movie and they managed to wrap everything up pretty nicely. The movie’s release led to a special game mode in one of my favourite games that I play with my friends back in Brisbane. It’s really fun and it’s a good way to catch up with my mates and have fun with them. I’ve been going on about it a lot and everyone’s sick of hearing what each weapon can do, etc. I’m sure that you don’t care either so I will find something else to write about.
Everyone says that it is a once in a lifetime experience and that I will appreciate it when I’m older. I don’t know if that’s true or not, but I just want to go home.
For the last couple of days it has been really windy, rainy and cold making me wonder if god is messing with us. Its like some kind of weather god is spamming rain on and off like some all-powerful button. If it was a nice day, windy, a bit chilly but nice and sunny. SHABOOSH!! BUTTON SLAM!! BELOW FREEZING! RAIN POURING DOWN LIKE GOD HAS FORGOT TO TURN OFF THE SHOWER HEAD! 15 MINUITES LATER ITS SUNNY AGAIN! I am seriously confused. Maybe God’s immortal keyboard cat is slapping the keyboard that God uses to play his tunes. (And control the weather).
On the subject of cats at our last stay at Streaky Bay, the park had a privately-owned fish and chip shop next to the reception. Louella and I were walking over to check it out when we spotted a stay cat lying on the ground at the front outside the kiosk. I walked over and sat on the ground near it and to my surprise the cat purred and walked up to me rubbing me. Soon both Louella and I were all over her patting her. She was very friendly. Louella wanted to name her bacon, but I thought that was pretty stupid, so I suggest piglet which TOATALLY isn’t a stupid name. We eventually went in and talked to the lady behind the counter. She told us that piglet started turning up about a week ago. I speculated that some travellers accidently left her behind. We kept coming back and Mum (much to Dad’s disgust) bought some cat food for her. When we left, we left it behind with the kiosk people because we doubted it would fit into our dietary requirements.

Now hopefully Dad will stop Hassling me to do a blog post for a while. See you next time!
Great sense of humour Tim!

Love the blog TIm, just wondering, though, did you leave the cat or the catfood behind with Kiosk people because of dietary requirements….
My kids have pranked Louise (their Mum) by telling her that they’ve spoiled the A Endgame plot for her by saying that in the end Batman dies! I don’t think she’s got the joke yet – its the first time my kids have ever been in agreement on anything.
I’m sure the trip will continue to have both highs and lows but it IS an interesting and unique experience that most will never have. You will appreciate in the future.
Keep on truckin’.
Rod
PS. both Bacon and piglet are good names – v tasty!

Hey Timmy, great blog. I see you are picking up your Dad’s humour!!! I can imagine you are missing Frankie, me too!!! It is good to see you are experiencing some different weather as now you can appreciate Queensland’s gorgeous weather throughout the year. Good to see you and Lou are both animal lovers and reached out to Piglet/Bacon and I am sure she will have a great life at the caravan park with all of the visitors spoiling her as they go to the shop.
Great blog and looking forward to the next one.

Great blog Tim. Clever, funny, loved the God/weather/cat on keyboard angle and the honesty about feeling homesick.
Cheers ML/Zeus/Roly/Paul and Eric..
